Beeswax

American beeswax from American beekeepers. Unbleached and raw, but thoroughly filtered using natural techniques resulting in 100% natural American–made wax retaining all of its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant benefits. It’s perfect for mustache wax because of its superior hold. It also provides a pleasant and subtle aroma of honey.

Pine Resin

Hand-chipped to maintain all the sticky qualities that keep your mustache shaped to perfection. Our 100% pure resin is collected from pine trees in the southern United States. Everyone should know how to collect pine resin as it has antibacterial and sticky qualities that have been put to good use for millennia. It’s great for making glue, torch pitch, fire starter, binding wounds and treating infection.

Shea Butter

100% pure, unrefined shea butter from West Africa. Loaded with vitamins A & E, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids — shea butter provides excellent nourishment for hair and skin.

Cacao Butter

100% raw cacao butter from South America. This anti-oxidant, polyphenol and essential-fatty-acid-rich precursor to chocolate is a great moisturizer for your hair and skin. Cacao butter also provides a hint of chocolaty aroma.

Jojoba Oil

100% pure, cold-pressed and unrefined Jojoba oil. Technically a liquid wax, the pressed seed extract from this evergreen shrub of the American southwest is chemically very similar to your skins natural sebum. As well as being an excellent moisturizer, its vitamin E & B content promotes healthy hair follicles. It is said Native Americans used it to treat sores and bruises.

Black Iron Oxide

Also known as Mars Black, black iron oxide is found in nature as the mineral magnetite. We chose this pigment after testing it along with many others – it is the most opaque black pigment and thereby provides superior color at a lower concentration. This means the strong hold of our black mustache wax is not disrupted. Fun fact: it is used medically as an intravenous treatment of anemia.

My new go-to wax!

I’ve come to accept the gray hairs in my mustache, but sometimes it’s nice to remember what I looked like 5 years ago. Blackout’s coverage helps me do that.It has a malleable texture for application and leaves a durable hold, just be careful with your pillow cases if you sleep with your wax in - I cover my pillow in an old t-shirt or towel to prevent transfer.Blackout has become my go-to wax!

Best mustache wax around

I was introduced to Savvy Jack by a good friend of mine. He gave a tin of regular yellow wax he was using. I starting my handle bar stache style about four or five years ago but never found a good product like this. I have black hair and the regular yellow was living little particles of was after using a comb. It looked good but sometimes it was very noticeable and I had people looking at me which made me feel uncomfortable sometimes. Now, I got the blackout…amazing …!!! It blends perfectly with my black mustache . It is easy to apply and very satisfactory for a good looking “stache” . I receive nice compliments at work from my clients. Great product and customer service!

The Blackout Mustache Wax is excellent. It does exactly what it's supposed to be keeping my mustache in place and keeping it dark. Plus, Mr. Pollock even sent a hand-written note. Highly recommended!
