Castor oil is a workhorse when it comes to skin & hair care. Rich in ricinoleic acid, protein and vitamin E, our cold-pressed castor oil quickly penetrates your skin, delivering nutrients and increasing blood flow to hair follicles. Many report 3-5x faster hair growth with regular castor oil use. It forms a protective barrier that retains moisture, and its antibacterial and antifungal properties make it doubly beneficial against dry, itchy skin.
Jojoba
moisturizer – anti-itch – vitamins & minerals
Often called ‘Nature’s Moisturizer,’ Jojoba oil is very similar to your body’s naturally-produced sebum. It's absorbed almost instantly, forming a protective barrier that seals in moisture. Jojoba’s protein content keeps your hair strong and prevents frizz. Its rich vitamin (B, C & E) and mineral (silicon, copper, zinc) content provide a unique subset of nutrients your hair follicles need for healthy growth. Its anti-inflammatory properties prevent itchiness.
Argan
vitamins – anti-dandruff – omega fatty acids
Often called ‘Liquid Gold,’ argan packs a whole lot into a very light oil – vitamins, omega fatty acids, phenols, squalene, saponins and antioxidants. Its very high oleic and linoleic content absorbs quickly and helps your skin and hair retain moisture without leaving an oily residue. Its potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties reduce the skin inflammation that leads to dandruff and itchiness.

Referred to as the ‘Tree of Life,’ Baobab trees produce a super-fruit from which this extremely high quality, silky oil is cold-pressed. It’s a powerhouse of anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant ingredients, protecting your skin and hair from damage. Apricot kernel oil is a nutrient-packed resource with an impressive mineral content, bringing magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, copper and potassium into our blend. Avocado

Avocado oil is rich in monounsaturated omega-9 fats that can deeply penetrate both your skin and hair, making it an excellent moisturizer. I have been using Backcountry Sweetwood for about 3 weeks now, and have really come to like it. The Atlas Cedar wood and Silver Fir oils give it a nice coniferous scent, while the Fennel oil adds a slight and pleasant undertone of licorice. All in all, it is a very understated and enjoyable fragrance. Plus, it does wonders for the beard.
